Linda Mwananchi leaders have warned politicians allied to President William Ruto against interfering with the movement’s planned Nairobi rally.
The rally is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Jacaranda Grounds, with opposition leaders stepping up mobilisation across the capital ahead of the major gathering.
Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi dismissed claims that the movement is divided, saying its leaders remain united ahead of the Nairobi event.
Osotsi also accused government supporters of spreading claims that Linda Mwananchi has internal disagreements. He maintained that the movement remains together and focused on its political activities.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino said extensive mobilisation had already taken place across Nairobi. He predicted that Jacaranda Grounds would be filled with supporters and urged those attending to arrive early.
The leaders also called for the rally to remain peaceful as security preparations continue.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced the programme for the Nairobi tour. The activities will begin with a worship service at All Saints Cathedral before leaders and supporters head to Jacaranda Grounds for the afternoon rally.
The planned procession will pass through several parts of Nairobi before reaching the rally venue.
Supporters from outside Nairobi are also expected to attend. Former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza said supporters from Meru had organised vehicles to travel to the capital in support of the movement's leaders.
The Jacaranda gathering comes as political activity increases ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Linda Mwananchi leaders have continued expanding their grassroots activities, presenting the movement as a platform focused on political change, accountability and greater citizen participation.
The Nairobi rally is therefore expected to be closely watched as opposition leaders seek to demonstrate their growing support in the capital.
