Karen Nyamu Sets November Date for Nairobi Woman Rep Campaign Launch

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has announced plans to launch her campaign for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in November as political activities begin gathering momentum ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a media interview on Friday, October 23, 2026, Nyamu said she had deliberately held back from launching her campaign, explaining that timing was an important consideration in politics.

“I’m planning to start that in November. I’ve been holding. You know, in politics, timing is everything. You can get burnout very early before you start,” she said.

Nyamu explained that she wanted to begin her campaign gradually to avoid exhausting herself before the election period intensifies.

The planned launch will mark the beginning of her campaign activities as she seeks to win the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in the next General Election.

Nyamu Ready to Face Esther Passaris

During the interview, Nyamu confirmed that she was pursuing the seat currently held by Esther Passaris.

Asked whether she was ready to face the incumbent in the race, the nominated senator responded affirmatively.

“Yes, yes, yes,” Nyamu said.

The contest for the Nairobi Woman Representative position is attracting interest from several political figures positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 polls.

Nyamu’s planned November launch comes as aspirants begin preparing to engage voters across Nairobi County and outline their plans for the seat.

Her campaign will unfold as political parties and candidates continue positioning themselves ahead of the next General Election.

The Nairobi Woman Representative seat is one of the elective positions expected to draw considerable attention as the 2027 election approaches.
