Content creator and media personality Azziad Nasenya has approached the Commercial Court in Nairobi to stop the auction of her Kileleshwa apartment valued at Ksh20 million, citing a dispute with a Sacco over the handling of her loan.
According to court documents, Azziad claims she has fully cleared her loan arrears but the Sacco has allegedly instructed auctioneers to sell the property prematurely. She argued that she legally acquired the apartment through a financing agreement with the savings and credit society.
“The 1st Defendant, as the chargee, would not call for, sue for, or require repayment of the loan outside the time specified by the charge,” the documents read.
Azziad’s filing states that she became a member of the Sacco after regular contributions, qualifying her for a loan. She secured financing of Ksh20,389,720 in April 2024 to acquire the Kileleshwa property, which was then charged to the Sacco as collateral and subsequently transferred to her name.
While she initially repaid part of the loan, she experienced arrears of Ksh1,510,035 by September 2025 due to economic challenges. The Sacco later deducted Ksh2.45 million from her savings to clear the outstanding balance.
Despite this, Azziad claims she was shocked to learn that the apartment was scheduled for auction in October 2025 over an alleged outstanding amount of Ksh21.88 million, prompting her to seek judicial intervention to halt the sale.
