Kenyan dancehall artist and businessman KRG the Don has dismissed claims that he disappeared from social media because he ran out of money.

In a video posted on his Instagram page on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the flashy musician proudly displayed bundles of fresh Ksh 1,000 notes, insisting he is far from broke.

KRG told fans that his recent silence had nothing to do with financial hardship, but everything to do with focusing on his businesses and private projects.

“Young people, listen — when someone goes quiet, it usually means they’re working on their life and their goals. Not everything needs noise,” he said.

“Never Associate My Name With Poverty” – KRG Declares

The artist strongly criticized those who quickly assume he is struggling financially simply because he steps back from the online spotlight.

“You start imagining things that are not true. I’ve said this before — never associate my name with poverty. Let me correct your ignorance properly,” he stated.

“I am blessed. This money is real; it’s not tissue paper. Silence means I’m concentrating, not suffering.”

KRG also encouraged critics to focus on improving their own lives instead of monitoring his.

“Just because a man is organising his life for his family and children, you think he’s broke? Your opinions do not define my reality. I am still rich. I was born rich, and I will die rich,” he affirmed.

His Statement Comes After Miracle Baby’s Accusations

KRG’s bold response comes just a day after fellow artist Miracle Baby threw shade at him, accusing him of offering empty promises while he was battling health complications.

Miracle Baby, known for the hit “Wamlambez,” claimed that KRG discouraged him at his weakest moment instead of offering support.

“He nearly killed me while I was in the hospital with his empty promises and harsh words,” Miracle Baby said.
“I had never seen a man put someone down while they’re already at their lowest. He walked over me even when I lifted my hands for help.”

Although he later forgave him, Miracle Baby urged KRG to handle people with more compassion, saying:
“Be a real man, bro.”
