Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has urged Kenyans to embrace unity, service, and accountability in a festive message released on X on Tuesday.
Kioni highlighted the importance of leadership that prioritizes the needs of citizens, linking the theme to the values celebrated during Christmas.
In his statement, Kioni reflected on the challenges faced by the nation over the past year, noting the hardships endured by families, small businesses, workers, and farmers.
“I have witnessed the unbreakable spirit of Kenyans, resilient, generous, and determined to build a just future. That spirit is our greatest national resource,” he said.
The Jubilee SG emphasized that the festive season should inspire reflection on leadership and governance.
He called for dignity for workers, protection for children and the elderly, and leadership that listens before it speaks.
“Let us choose unity over division, courage over despair, and action over apathy,” Kioni added, underscoring the role of ethical leadership in national development.
Kioni’s address also touched on the broader political context as Kenya approaches the 2026 general elections.
While he did not mention specific candidates, his call for leadership “that walks with the people, not above them” reflects ongoing debates over governance and accountability in the country.
The statement tied Kenya’s national progress to the resilience and contributions of ordinary citizens. Kioni urged communities to draw inspiration from the season to foster fairness, fellowship, and collective responsibility.
He concluded by extending festive greetings, wishing Kenyans comfort, strength, and hope for the year ahead.
Christmas messages from political leaders have historically served as platforms to reflect on societal challenges and reaffirm commitments to service and public welfare.
Kioni’s note follows this tradition, highlighting both the enduring spirit of Kenyans and the party’s vision for inclusive leadership.
“From the Jubilee family to yours, may this Christmas bring comfort to your home, strength to your heart, and hope for the days ahead. Together, with God’s grace and the will of the people, 2026 can be a great year for Kenya,” Kioni wrote.
