Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has announced plans to publicly outline her administration’s record through a televised documentary scheduled to air on Citizen TV this Sunday, December 28, at 6:00 pm.

The broadcast comes as county governments across Kenya approach the midpoint of their five-year term under the 2022 general election cycle.

In a statement posted on X, Ndeti said the documentary will present what her administration has achieved over three years in office, measured against pledges made during her campaign.

She described the period as one marked by service delivery and institutional progress, while also pointing to the next phase of county development.

According to the governor, the programme will document the county government’s work and outline future priorities aimed at building what she termed a “united, progressive, and prosperous Machakos.”

She invited residents to watch the broadcast to better understand both completed initiatives and plans still underway.

Ndeti was elected governor of Machakos County in the August 2022 polls, becoming one of the few women to win a gubernatorial seat in Kenya.

Like other county chiefs, she operates within the devolved system established under the 2010 Constitution, which assigns counties responsibility for key functions such as health services, county roads, agriculture, and local economic development.

While the governor did not provide specific figures or project details in her statement, she said the documentary would align achievements with commitments made before the election.

The broadcast is expected to serve as a public accountability platform, allowing residents to assess the performance of the county government midway through its term.

Televised political documentaries have increasingly been used by national and county leaders to communicate directly with the public, particularly as audiences shift toward digital and broadcast platforms for political information.
