Former Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has reacted following the removal of Jeremiah Kioni as the Jubilee Party Secretary-General.
Reports indicate that the Jubilee Party recently carried out internal leadership changes, which saw Kioni stripped of his Secretary-General role and replaced by former Narok MP Richard Ole Kenta. The move has since sparked debate within political circles.
Kega, who previously served as Jubilee’s Secretary-General himself, took to his official social media platforms to comment on the development.
In a light-hearted but pointed message, he appeared to sympathise with Kioni while welcoming him to what he termed the “club” of former party secretaries-general.
“Pole Hon Kioni. Karibu kwa klabu ya former SGs. Patron wetu ni Senator Malala,” Kega wrote.
Following the reshuffle, Jeremiah Kioni was reassigned to the position of Deputy Party Leader, marking a significant change in Jubilee’s leadership structure.
The leadership shake-up has drawn mixed reactions from Kenyans, with supporters and critics offering differing opinions on the party’s direction and decision-making.
Kanini Kega’s response added a humorous twist to the unfolding political developments, further fueling public discussion.
As Jubilee continues to realign its leadership, the changes signal ongoing adjustments within the party as it navigates Kenya’s dynamic political landscape.
