Triza Njeri, the estranged wife of popular Kikuyu gospel musician Karangu Muraya, has sparked social media buzz after hinting at her intention to join politics.
The gospel musician and brand influencer revealed that she is considering contesting for the Kenol Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Kenol MCA falls within the Kimorori/Wempa Ward of Murang’a County.
Triza shared a photo of herself on Facebook accompanied by a playful caption:

Her post generated mixed reactions from Kenyans online. While some supported her potential political move, others expressed doubts about her readiness for the role.
If she pursues the seat, Triza Njeri would be aiming to succeed the current MCA, Hon. Elizabeth Wangui Mwangi, who was elected in August 2022 under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
