On Saturday morning, a heated war of words erupted on social media after Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai clashed openly with popular city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi.
The exchange quickly attracted attention from many Kenyans, as screenshots of the posts spread widely across different platforms. Within a short time, the online argument became a hot topic of discussion.
In a post shared online, Robert Alai strongly attacked the senior lawyer using very harsh language. He directly insulted Ahmednasir by calling him a “pig” and went ahead to state that the lawyer could not tell him anything.
Alai appeared very angry in his message and made it clear that he did not value the lawyer’s opinion or advice in any way.
In another statement, Robert Alai explained why he says he does not respect the outspoken lawyer. According to him, respect must be earned and not forced. He claimed that Ahmednasir has never admired or supported him at any point.
Alai further alleged that the lawyer has always been supporting people who oppose him politically, whom he referred to as “Team B.” Because of this, he said he sees no reason to show him any respect.
Alai went on to make even stronger remarks, saying that although Ahmednasir is known for threatening or attacking Supreme Court judges through his comments, he should not try the same approach on him.
He added that he is not afraid of the lawyer and cannot be intimidated. According to Alai, he stands firm in his beliefs and will not be silenced.
The public exchange quickly sparked reactions from Kenyans on social media. Some people supported Robert Alai, saying leaders should speak boldly without fear. Others criticized the language used, arguing that public figures should remain respectful even when they disagree.
A section of netizens also turned the clash into jokes and memes, making the incident trend online for hours.
