The race for the Trans Nzoia governor’s seat ahead of the 2027 General Election has gained fresh attention following the release of a new opinion poll.
According to the poll reported by TUKO.co.ke, former Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha emerged with the highest level of support among the candidates included in the survey.
Nakhumicha reportedly received 44.1% of the responses, putting her ahead of other contenders in the survey.
Chris Wamalwa followed with 35.9%, while incumbent Governor George Natembeya was reported to have 15.1% support.
Other candidates included in the survey recorded significantly lower percentages.
The findings have generated renewed interest in the political contest as various candidates position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
