Musician and entrepreneur Akothee has officially bid farewell to Kenya after relocating abroad together with all her children, fulfilling a promise she previously made to her fans.
She revealed that the move marked the closing of a significant chapter in her life. Akothee explained that she returned to Kenya one final time to pick up her two daughters, who were the only children she still had in the country.
However, the return was far from smooth. Shortly after landing, the singer was struck by intense lower back pain that rapidly escalated. The pain spread to her spine, severely limiting her mobility and leaving her unable to lift her left leg.
The condition caused her immense distress and worsened to the point where she required urgent medical attention. At one stage, Akothee was forced to use a wheelchair after the pain became unbearable while seeking help.
She disclosed that the discomfort had already begun mid-flight, forcing her to remain standing for most of the journey due to the severity of the pain. The situation was further aggravated by excessive bleeding, raising serious concerns about her health.
Akothee was eventually rushed to hospital, where she received medical care and treatment. Despite the ordeal, she remained determined to accomplish her main goal of reuniting with her daughters and finalizing her relocation.
The mother of five thanked her supporters for their unwavering love, prayers, and support, assuring them that she would share more details about her health and new chapter abroad in due course.
