Jubilee Digital Communications Strategist Pauline Njoroge has warned that President William Ruto could face significant challenges in the upcoming general elections.
Tensions in Kisumu
Njoroge’s statement followed a tense incident in Kisumu, where residents reportedly booed Gladys Wanga while she attempted to address them. The crowd chanted the name of Babu Owino, signaling growing support for opposition leaders in the region.
According to Njoroge, the pressure from key figures—including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, and other opposition leaders—could complicate Ruto’s reelection campaign.
Call for Responsible Voting
Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), Njoroge urged Kenyans to vote carefully, emphasizing that the country’s development and delivery depend on electing competent leaders.
Meanwhile, Governor Wanga reassured supporters that the Orange Democratic Movement will continue participating in the broad-based government, honoring the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s vision of collaboration with Ruto’s administration.
She encouraged citizens to support initiatives under Ruto’s government, citing Raila’s rationale for working alongside the president before his passing.
