Thousands of pharmacy candidates across Kenya are racing against time after the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) announced a strict deadline for applications for the June 2026 professional examinations.
According to the board, candidates intending to sit for the Pre-registration Exams (Stage I and II) and Enrolment Exams (Level I and II) must submit their applications through the PPB online services portal before the deadline expires. The exams are scheduled to run from June 8 to June 12, 2026.
PPB warned that late applications will not be accepted, effectively giving candidates a limited window to complete registration and prepare for the online assessments.
The board also confirmed that all examinations will be conducted digitally at designated examination centres across the country, continuing its shift toward technology-driven assessments in the pharmaceutical sector.
Candidates have been instructed to choose their preferred examination centres during the application process, although PPB noted that the centres may still change depending on logistics and capacity.
In addition, applicants must ensure they have reliable computer devices and stable internet connections capable of supporting the online examinations for several hours without interruption.
To help candidates familiarise themselves with the online system, the board plans to organise mock exams and mandatory rehearsals ahead of the actual test dates.
PPB further advised candidates with disabilities or medical conditions that may affect their ability to sit for online exams to notify the board early and submit supporting medical documents.
The examinations are considered a critical step for pharmacy graduates and pharmaceutical technologists seeking certification and progression within Kenya’s healthcare sector.
