Narok County hosted a gathering of national and regional leaders on Saturday as they celebrated the wedding of Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu’s son, Jordan, to Abigael Moriaso, daughter of the former Narok County Council chairman.

Among the guests, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale used the occasion to outline key developments in Kenya’s health sector.

Duale emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access, announcing that the Social Health Authority’s oncology package will increase from Ksh 500,000 to Ksh 800,000 starting December 1.

He said the move aims to broaden access to quality cancer treatment for patients across the country.

“This enhancement reflects our dedication to ensuring that every Kenyan can access essential cancer care,” Duale stated.

The CS also highlighted ongoing reforms at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), revealing plans to raise refill rates to 90% as directed by President William Ruto.

The initiative seeks to guarantee consistent delivery of critical medical supplies nationwide, addressing past challenges in the supply chain that have affected hospitals and clinics.

In his remarks, Duale reiterated his support for President Ruto’s development agenda, which prioritizes elevating Kenya to middle- and eventually first-world status through bold policy reforms.

He encouraged unity and understanding as foundations for both strong families and a stable nation.

The wedding drew several prominent figures, including President Ruto, Defence CS Soipan Tuya, Governors Joseph Ole Lenku of Kajiado and Lati Lelelit of Samburu, as well as Senator Ledama Ole Kina, and numerous MPs and MCAs.
