Jubilee Party secretary general Fred Matiangi on Tuesday led a strategy meeting with party county chairpersons drawn from all 47 counties.

The session, held in Nairobi, brought together the party’s top leadership to review political priorities and outline a coordinated national plan ahead of 2026.

According to a statement issued by Matiangi on X, the gathering focused on strengthening internal organisation and preparing the party for an expanded national presence.

He said the meeting was convened to align county structures with Jubilee’s broader political roadmap.

Matiangi told the delegates that the party intends to mount a more visible national campaign, positioning itself as an alternative to the Kenya Kwanza administration.

He accused the government of presiding over weakened institutions and an economic downturn, arguing that public frustration has continued to grow.

In his remarks, he said the rising cost of living and alleged governance failures remain major concerns raised by party supporters across the country.

The former Cabinet Secretary said the meeting marked the start of a renewed mobilisation effort involving county and regional officials.

He described the county chairpersons as central to strengthening Jubilee’s grassroots networks and coordinating public engagements.

Party officials who attended the session said the discussion centred on rebuilding structures, member recruitment, and enhancing internal communication.

While Jubilee has been working to reassert itself after internal disputes and defections over the past two election cycles, the leadership maintains that it intends to play a more active role in national politics.

The party has recently been reorganising its secretariat and reviving county branches as part of its broader restructuring plan.

The meeting ended with an agreement to roll out a national programme that includes policy forums, regional consultations, and public outreach.

Jubilee is expected to release a detailed schedule of its planned engagements in the coming weeks.

Officials indicated that further briefings will be issued as the party continues its coordination efforts with county chapters.
