National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has publicly extended birthday greetings to President William Ruto, emphasizing the President’s ongoing role in guiding Kenya’s development agenda.

In a statement shared on social media, Wetangula wished Ruto strength, wisdom, and continued success as he marks another year of life.

He described the President’s vision and initiatives as “inspiring” and highlighted the opportunities they create for the nation.

“Happy Birthday H.E. President (Dr.) William Ruto. I extend warmest wishes as you mark new beginnings. Your renewed vision and boundless opportunities for our nation continue to inspire us,” Wetangula stated.

He added, “May this year bring you strength, wisdom, and joy as you continue to shape Kenya's future. Here's to another year of greater leadership, service, and progress for Kenya.”

The message comes as President Ruto celebrates his 56th birthday, an occasion marked by recognition from fellow political leaders and public figures.

Wetangula’s tribute is notable for its parliamentary perspective, reflecting the ongoing relationship between the legislature and the executive in Kenya’s governance framework.

Kenya’s Constitution vests the National Assembly with oversight responsibilities, and leaders such as Wetangula often use public statements to reaffirm cooperation with the presidency on national priorities.

In his birthday message, Wetangula focused on service and governance, signaling support for the President’s agenda in advancing national development.

Ruto has been at the center of several policy reforms since assuming office, including initiatives aimed at economic growth, infrastructure expansion, and public sector performance.

Messages of goodwill from political figures, including the Speaker, are customary during such milestones, offering recognition of leadership and contributions to the country.

Wetangula’s statement adds to a series of public acknowledgments by government officials, reflecting the broader political culture in Kenya where leaders mark birthdays of sitting Presidents with formal tributes.
