Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai Reveals Chilling Death Threat, Criticizes Inaction by Authorities

Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has shared a chilling death threat he received, highlighting what he calls a failure by authorities to act against offenders while focusing on victims instead.

The threat, sent via WhatsApp from an unidentified individual—allegedly a business account holder—reads:

“I personally will kill you before 25th March 2026. Mark the dates.”

In his post, Alai said, “I get thousands of these every day. Thousands!” He expressed frustration over what he perceives as law enforcement’s inaction, adding, “But action is always taken on victims and not offenders.”

Alai’s post raises serious concerns about the safety of public figures and the effectiveness of cybercrime investigations in Kenya.

His statement suggests a pattern of harassment and threats that are rarely followed by arrests or prosecutions, leaving victims vulnerable.

With the threatening date fast approaching, the incident calls for urgent intervention from both the police and telecommunication regulators to ensure online threats are taken seriously and that digital platforms are not used to intimidate individuals.
