Viral Lady Marion Naipei Speaks Out After Controversial Video Cost Her Financial Support

Marion Naipei, a 22-year-old lady who recently went viral online, has opened up about how a controversial video changed her life.

The video, which showed her being touched inappropriately in public while spending time with a man identified as James Opande, sparked widespread debate on social media. The situation became more controversial after it emerged that the man is married.

Speaking in an interview with 2mbili, Marion revealed that the incident cost her a lot emotionally and financially.

She disclosed that after the video went viral, a man who had been supporting her by paying her rent immediately withdrew his support. According to Marion, the man moved out and stopped assisting her, leaving her with no one to help her cover rent.

Marion clarified that the man was not her boyfriend but someone who was helping her financially at the time.

She also admitted that she was not sober when the video was recorded. Marion said she was intoxicated and not in her right state of mind, adding that she now regrets her actions.

“I was not sober. I take responsibility for what happened,” she said.

Marion apologised to Kenyans for the incident and vowed that such a situation would never happen again.

She further revealed that the backlash from the viral video affected her mental health deeply. She said she struggled emotionally and at some point had suicidal thoughts, although she did not act on them.

Despite the challenges, Marion says she is trying to move forward and learn from the painful experience.
