A woman has sparked national debate after revealing shocking secrets about some churches in Kenya. In a viral Facebook video, she claimed that certain priests have been faking miracles to impress worshippers.
According to her, she and others were hired to act sick or disabled during services. They were carefully coached on where to sit, how to act, and when to respond after prayers. After pretending to be healed, they were given small payments.
One story in the video shocked many: the woman claimed her own child was used in a staged miracle. During a church service, the child was presented as unable to walk.
The priest prayed, the congregation cheered, and moments later, the child stood up. Afterward, the child was paid KSh1,000 for participating.
“These so-called miracles are planned. People are being used to build reputations and attract crowds,” she said in the video.
The revelations have angered Kenyans online. Many are calling for investigations and demanding that churches be honest with their congregations.
Religious leaders have also urged the public to protect themselves from exploitation in the name of faith.
The video continues to spread widely, with many warning that if true, these actions could seriously damage trust in the church.
