Stephanie Ruto made a rare public appearance on Sunday when she attended a fundraiser in support of the renovation of St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Centre in Mbiuni.
During the event, she revealed that she had been sent by her father, President William Ruto, to deliver a donation of Ksh 3 million on behalf of him and their family.
According to Stephanie, her father chose her to represent the family because she is a Children’s Officer by profession and works closely with children.
“When my dad told me that there was a fundraiser happening in Mbiuni, he chose to tell me because actually by profession I am a Children’s Officer so I work a lot with children,” she said.
Keeping her remarks brief, Stephanie emphasized that she is not a politician and prefers to stay out of the limelight. She expressed her happiness at being with the children and pledged continued support where possible.
“This is a contribution from my father and my family not just as him as President but also because he is a family man and we love children. Children are our future. This is 3 million,” she announced, drawing cheers from attendees.
Known for maintaining a low public profile, Stephanie’s appearance and remarks were warmly received, with many praising the gesture toward supporting children’s welfare initiatives.
