KUCCPS Gives Fresh Update on Delayed Transfer Letters as Students Raise Concerns

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reassured students that transfer letters are still being processed, following concerns over delays in their release.

The placement agency said students who applied to change their university or college placements should remain patient as the process continues.

KUCCPS explained that once a transfer is processed, the letter will automatically be generated and made available for the applicant to download through the student portal.

Students have been advised to regularly check their KUCCPS portals for updates instead of relying on information shared through unofficial platforms.

The clarification comes as the September admission period approaches, with some universities expected to begin receiving new students later this month.

The delay has caused anxiety among students who successfully applied for transfers but are yet to receive official confirmation. Some have expressed concern about reporting to their new institutions without the required documents.

KUCCPS said applicants should continue monitoring their portals and download their transfer letters as soon as they become available.

The agency's official information also indicates that inter-institutional transfer processing can take up to 14 working days, depending on the application and required approvals.

With admission dates drawing closer, students are now waiting for KUCCPS to complete the remaining transfer applications and release the letters.

The latest update is expected to ease some of the uncertainty among students awaiting confirmation of their new institutions.
