The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has announced 365 short-term job opportunities across Kenya as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to a public notice issued on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the positions will involve monitoring political party activities during the pre-election, election and post-election periods.
The vacancies include 55 county monitor positions, 290 constituency monitor positions and 20 call centre monitor positions.
Successful applicants will be responsible for monitoring political party activities and checking compliance with the Constitution, the Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties.
The ORPP said the positions will be based at county, constituency and headquarters levels, depending on the role.
Interested applicants have been directed to check the ORPP website for detailed qualifications and submit their applications through the organisation's e-recruitment portal.
The deadline for applications is September 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Late applications will not be considered.
Those selected will also be required to obtain clearance certificates from several government agencies, including the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The ORPP has encouraged women, young people, persons with disabilities and members of marginalised communities who meet the requirements to apply.
The office has also warned applicants against submitting forged certificates, false information or fake documents, saying such actions could result in automatic disqualification and possible criminal prosecution.
Applicants must also be residents of the county or constituency where they intend to work.
The recruitment comes as the ORPP steps up preparations for increased political party monitoring and oversight ahead of the 2027 General Election.
