The Office of the Auditor-General has opened applications for 10 senior positions as part of a new recruitment exercise.
The vacancies include eight positions for Directors of Audit, one Director of Legal Services and one Director of Communications. All the positions are at Grade OAG 3.
According to the Office of the Auditor-General, interested candidates must submit their applications by October 16, 2026.
The recruitment exercise is being conducted under Article 252(1)(c) of the Constitution, which gives independent offices the authority to recruit their own staff.
The Auditor-General's Office plays an important role in examining how public resources are managed by national and county governments, as well as other public institutions.
Applicants have been directed to visit the official Office of the Auditor-General website for detailed information on the requirements, job descriptions and application process.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the email address provided in the recruitment notice. Physical or paper applications will not be accepted.
Candidates are required to provide a completed application form, academic and professional certificates, curriculum vitae and relevant testimonials.
The office has also warned applicants against providing false information or forged documents, noting that such actions could result in criminal consequences.
Candidates who successfully pass the interview stage will be required to provide clearance certificates from several institutions, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Revenue Authority, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Credit Reference Bureau and Higher Education Loans Board.
The Auditor-General's Office has further warned members of the public about possible recruitment fraud. It said applicants will not be charged any fee for applying, being shortlisted, attending interviews or securing appointment.
The office also cautioned that canvassing for the positions could lead to automatic disqualification.
Qualified professionals interested in the advertised positions therefore have until October 16, 2026, to submit their applications.
