Several luxury vehicles, including BMW X5s and Range Rovers, could be auctioned after their owners were given a limited period to reclaim them.
The vehicles are among property listed in auction notices published in the Kenya Gazette on September 11, 2026.
The notices include several high-end vehicles as well as motorcycles, a tuk-tuk and other uncollected items being held at different locations across Kenya.
Some of the vehicles listed include BMW X5s, Range Rovers, Mercedes-Benz models, a Volkswagen Touareg, Toyota vehicles and a Nissan Pathfinder.
One of the notices lists BMW X5s alongside a Volkswagen Touareg and a Mercedes-Benz C250. The vehicles are being held at a garage in Karen.
Another notice includes a Range Rover, Toyota vehicles and a Mitsubishi Mini Pajero, together with motorcycles held at a police yard in Rongai.
Owners have been given different periods to collect their property, with some notices providing as little as seven days while others allow up to 30 days.
Those seeking to recover their vehicles are also required to meet applicable publication, storage and other related costs.
Uncollected vehicles are often left in garages or police yards for long periods, particularly after accidents or police impoundments.
In some cases, owners may fail to collect their vehicles because they cannot afford repair, towing or insurance-related costs. Others may decide that recovering the vehicle is too expensive.
The latest notices give owners a final opportunity to reclaim their property before the auction process begins.
The notices also cover other goods, including hundreds of bales of second-hand clothes, motorcycles, a tuk-tuk, assorted items and a generator.
Owners who fail to respond within the stated deadlines risk losing their property through public auction.
