Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday visited the home of the late Joseph Hamisi Denar in Karen, offering condolences to the family following the lawmaker’s death in a road accident on Saturday morning.

Denar, who served as a nominated Member of Parliament, was remembered for his quiet dedication to public service and his role in shaping Kenya’s political discourse.

Mudavadi reflected on Denar’s tenure in parliament, noting that his approach to governance combined humility with integrity.

“His service was not loud, but it had a profound impact. The values he upheld will continue to influence colleagues and citizens alike,” Mudavadi said during the visit, emphasizing the late MP’s commitment to advancing national interests.

Denar’s nomination to parliament occurred during Mudavadi’s leadership of their political party, a period marked by efforts to strengthen internal party democracy and consolidate political ideals.

The Prime CS highlighted Denar’s contribution to creating a culture of principled debate within the legislature, a legacy that earned him respect across party lines.

Speaking to the family, Mudavadi assured them of his prayers and support, calling for resilience during the grieving period.

He stated, “May God grant them peace and courage at this difficult time. His dedication to the nation remains a lasting example of patriotism and service.”

Denar’s death adds to a list of Kenyan public figures who have passed unexpectedly, drawing attention to the vulnerabilities even high-profile leaders face.

Authorities confirmed that the accident occurred near his residence in Karen, and investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.

The lawmaker is remembered not only for his parliamentary work but also for his behind-the-scenes influence in party structures and policy discussions.

His role in advancing democratic practices within the party framework and engaging constructively on national issues highlighted the importance of integrity and consistency in public life.

Friends, political colleagues, and community members continue to pay tribute, noting Denar’s understated approach to leadership.
