Kilifi North MP Owen Baya has released the official programme for the burial of the late nominated MP Joseph Hamisi Denar, confirming that the funeral will take place on 13 December 2025 at the family home in Mazeras, Kwale County.
Baya, who chairs the funeral and burial committee, visited the family residence in Karen, Nairobi, where he signed the condolence book and conveyed his sympathies.
The legislator said plans are progressing smoothly and that the bereaved family is receiving full support from colleagues, friends, and the wider political community.
He described the atmosphere at the Karen home as solemn, with leaders continuing to visit and offer comfort following the MP’s sudden death in a road accident.
According to Baya, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, 11 December, at Ridgeways Baptist Church in Nairobi.
The service is expected to bring together MPs, government officials, and friends of the late legislator ahead of the final send-off in Kwale.
Joseph Hamisi Denar died on 6 December after his vehicle crashed outside his Karen residence.
