Amos Kimunya Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Wife Lucy Wanjiru Muhinga on Second Death Anniversary

Former CS Amos Kimunya has taken to social media to honor the memory of his late wife, Lucy Wanjiru Muhinga, on the second anniversary of her passing.

In a deeply moving post shared on Friday, Kimunya included throwback photographs of Lucy, reflecting on the life and love they shared over more than four decades.

“On this date, 30th January, two years ago, our dear Lucy Wanjiru Muhinga left us, but her memory lives on in my heart and every day of life,” he wrote. “I keep cherishing the love and beautiful moments we shared over the 40-odd years I knew her.”

He added that he believes her “ever-happy soul is somewhere up in heaven, watching over us and constantly guiding our lives.”

Kimunya acknowledged that adjusting to life without her has been challenging, but expressed gratitude for the support of family and friends during the grieving process.

“It has been another year of adjusting to the loss and new reality,” he noted. “Thankfully, the support system of friends and family has accelerated the ongoing recovery. To all those who have stood with us on this journey, we say a big thank you, may God bless you aplenty.”

Kimunya also paid tribute to the enduring impact of his wife on the family, stating, “I miss her dearly, will always love her, and will always thank God for having given her to us for those years we spent together. May her soul rest in eternal peace and her spirit live within us forever.”

Lucy Wanjiru Muhinga is fondly remembered by their children, Tabitha, Ron Kibaara Meru, grandchildren Kendi, Gitonga, and Muhinga, as well as members of the Irungu and Kimunya families and friends.
