The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Administration Police Service, Gilbert Masengeli, on Saturday represented the Inspector General of the National Police Service, Douglas Kanja, at the funeral of the late Monica Katule Titus in Makueni County.
Monica Katule Titus was the mother of Patrick Tito, Principal Deputy to the Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service.
The ceremony drew senior officers and personnel from the Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, highlighting solidarity within the National Police Service family.
DIG Masengeli described the late Monica Katule Titus as a disciplined, hardworking, and principled woman whose life was guided by strong family values.
He praised her role as a mentor in the community, noting that she instilled discipline, responsibility, and unity among her family members.
“Her legacy of leadership and moral guidance is an example worth emulating,” Masengeli said, acknowledging the profound pain of losing a mother and encouraging the family to remain united and draw strength from her memory.
On behalf of the Inspector General and the entire National Police Service, DIG Masengeli conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
The funeral served as a moment for colleagues, friends, and family members to pay their last respects and celebrate a life marked by dedication and service.
