Dan Maanzo Claims Gladys Wanga Is Eyeing Deputy President Position in 2027

Political commentator Dan Maanzo has stirred debate after suggesting that Gladys Wanga is quietly positioning herself to become the Deputy President for William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking publicly, Maanzo said that Wanga’s ambitions extend beyond Kakamega County, noting that she is actively building a strong national presence.

According to him, Wanga has been meeting influential leaders, attending key political events, and assembling a supportive team to back her potential bid.

Maanzo emphasized that her approach is strategic. She is engaging with ordinary citizens across Kakamega County, attending local events, and assisting communities—steps that he says enhance her popularity among voters, whose support will be crucial in a national race.

In addition, Maanzo noted that Wanga is careful to maintain good relations within Ruto’s political circle, avoiding conflicts and building alliances with top leaders.

He described this as a smart political move, aimed at ensuring broad support when leadership selections are made.

Reactions on social media have been mixed. Some commentators praise Wanga’s foresight and strategic planning, while others argue that she may simply be performing her duties as governor. However, Maanzo insists that her consistent efforts indicate ambitions for a larger political role.

If Wanga continues her current trajectory, Maanzo believes she could emerge as a strong contender for the Deputy Presidency in 2027, making her a key figure to watch in Kenya’s political landscape.
