Utalii College Joins KUCCPS System

Kenya Utalii College, located in Nairobi, has operated for 47 years and has trained more than 60,000 graduates who now work in hotels, airlines, cruise companies, and tourism agencies both locally and internationally.

Previously, the college admitted students directly through the Ministry of Tourism, but it has now joined the KUCCPS placement system to improve transparency and access.

Through this integration, Utalii College becomes part of more than 155 training institutions using the KUCCPS placement platform, including institutions such as the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and the Kenya School of Law.

Partnership to Expand Access

The integration followed a partnership agreement signed on January 19 between KUCCPS CEO Agnes Mercy Wahome and Utalii College Principal Mark Rachuonyo Ogendi.

Wahome said the KUCCPS system promotes fairness, merit, and equal access, ensuring students from all regions of Kenya have an opportunity to secure placement in competitive programmes.

Where Students Can Get Help

Students can submit applications through the KUCCPS Student Portal on the official website.
Those facing challenges during the process can seek help from:
KUCCPS offices at ACK Garden House on Ngong Avenue in Nairobi
Kenya Utalii College campus
Huduma Centres across the country

Education stakeholders believe that opening the portal will increase access to professional hospitality and tourism training, sectors that contribute billions of shillings to Kenya’s economy each year.
