The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has invited Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates who sat their exams between 2000 and 2025 to apply for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses ahead of the May 2026 intake.
In a message shared on its official X account on Sunday, March 8, KUCCPS announced that applications for the programmes are now open, encouraging interested candidates to take advantage of the opportunity to enroll in various technical and vocational institutions across the country.
The placement body said the available courses are offered in several institutions including National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutes, Institutes of Science and Technology, and other accredited technical colleges.
KUCCPS emphasized that the programmes are open to candidates with different academic performance levels, noting that applicants with any KCSE mean grade can still secure a suitable course.
The agency highlighted TVET as a practical pathway that equips learners with industry-relevant skills needed in today’s job market. The application process is entirely online through the KUCCPS student portal.
Applicants are required to visit students.kuccps.ac.ke, log in, and select a TVET course of their choice from the list of available programmes.
KUCCPS clarified that the application is not limited to recent KCSE candidates. Former Form Four leavers dating back to 2000 are also eligible, giving thousands another opportunity to pursue technical training.
The deadline for submitting applications for the May 2026 intake is March 18, 2026. KUCCPS urged eligible candidates to complete their applications before the closing date to secure placement in their preferred institutions.
